After the holiday season, it’s time to soak up the culture of the capital, and visit the most beautiful locations dedicated to art. At the Hôtel de Ville, two exhibitions are available, “Les nuits parisiennes”, and the one dedicated to the Hollywood actress Marlene Dietrich “Obsession Marlene”, at the European House of Photography (Maison Européenne de la Photographie).
1/ “Les nuits parisiennes” at the Hôtel de Ville de Paris
What would Paris be without its nightlife? The Hôtel de Ville is paying tribute to the Parisian night by presenting through 200 original works, the multiple facets of the nightlife in Paris. From balls to music halls, from discotheques to the jazzy cellars of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, as well as the Palace and Bains-Douches (two famous 80s jet-set clubs), no facet of the Parisian night is left behind. Videos, posters, dresses, photos, and even paintings, reveal the transformations of Paris and the association of social classes which occur at nightfall.
Exhibition “Les nuits parisiennes: du Palais-Royal au Palace”, from November 25th to January 27th, 2018.
Open from Monday to Saturday, form 10a.m. to 6:30p.m.
