Umami: the first Parisian Matcha Café

You wish for a gourmet and refreshing break this summer? Rush without hesitation to the Umami Matcha Café, the first Matcha Café of the capital. Opened by Umami, an importer of Japanese products, in the heart of the high Marais district, this special café is a tribute to the Matcha, a green tea which is also known as the “espresso of Japan”. In this tea house, the Matcha flavors the pastries as well as the drinks, available as smoothies, ice-cold and latte. This beverage is known for its multiple virtues, to help fight against stress or and slow the ageing process.

As beautiful as it is good
At the Umami Matcha Café, everything is as beautiful as good. First of all, the decoration is relaxing, very minimalist and refined, in white tones, and with light wood. Moreover, Umami offers a grocery shop corner, to find every delicious condiment sold on the website of the brand. As for the tasting, we are tempted by the menu of organic teas of Japan, which allows us to enjoy Genmaïcha, known for its smoked taste of seeds of puffed rice, the Kukicha and its hazelnut flavor, or the Sencha and its subtle vegetable notes. On the side, the green tea brioche is delicious. This is for the gourmets!

Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 8:30a.m. to 8p.m.
Afternoon formula: €8.
