12th European Night of Museums in the Marais

Every year, the European Night of Museums is the opportunity to offer a breeding ground. Most Paris museums open their doors for free so you can see their collections and their temporary exhibitions. At the Hotel Mareuil, we love strolling around in the Marais, we invite you to discover the main attractions of the neighbourhood during this arty evening!

In the 3rd arrondissement
We begin the festivities at the Cognac-Jay Museum, where visitors will attend a tour, with readings and music. Tales and fables from Voltaire or Diderot will be recited on Rameau and Mozart music. At the Museum Carnavalet, an opera show will be performed in the gardens. The Musée national Picasso will offer free access to its exhibitions, including the one of Miquel Barceló, “Sol y sombra”. Finally, the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature will be organising video screenings, in partnership with the winners of the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris.

The Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles will invite us to go all over the exhibition of the Belgian painter Paul Delvaux, known for his pictorial and poetic style. The Polish Library in Paris will be programming a concert of classical music. As for the Centre Georges Pompidou, it will enable the public to stroll in its permanent collections, visit the exhibition of French artist JR, and will bring us many other surprises!
