A gourmet Valentine’s Day in Paris

Paris is known for being both the capital of love and gastronomy. To combine the two and have an unforgettable Valentine’s Day, Hotel Le Mareuil proposes to treat yourself to an exclusive stay for the celebration of romance. The program includes a visit to the Taste of Paris and a dinner at Pierre Sang Boyer’s restaurant, very close to the Mareuil hotel.

Great chefs meet at the Grand Palais
From February 11th to 14th 2016, the Grand Palais will host for its 2nd edition, 18 great chefs, recognised or emerging, modelled on Pierre Sang Boyer, Alain Ducasse, Frédéric Anton or Thibault Sombardier. They will offer the visitors to take part in cooking classes, but also to taste their creations. It will also be possible to buy French local products, near by producers and craftspeople present on site, and notably Burgundy wines, ciders, jams, or olive oils.

A romantic dinner at Pierre Sang Boyer’s restaurant
To continue the experience, book a table in one of the two restaurants of this talented chef, Top Chef show finalist in 2011, located nearby the Mareuil hotel. The first was opened in June 2012 in Oberkampf Street and the second in 2014 in Gambey Street. We like the contemporary setting of these two addresses, including the fact that the kitchens give onto the room, with counters to appreciate it better. The chef is inspired by his Korean origins to bring an exotic touch to his traditional French dishes. Here, there is no standard menu: the unique menu changes daily, depending on what he finds at the market, respecting the seasons. You will have the possibility, to taste, for example, a salt-crusted seabass and algae, oysters, spinach salad, or lentils, kimchi, low temperature egg and baby squids.
