This fall, two exhibitions are eagerly awaited by Parisians: the Picasso Mania at the Grand Palais and the Warhol Unlimited at the Museum of Modern Art of the city of Paris. Both present great artists who have marked Art history, and last more or less the same time.
1 / Picasso Mania at the Grand Palais
The Grand Palais offers to come back to the creation of the myth of Picasso. How this name became famous? How it influenced its contemporaries? One hundred masterpieces by Pablo Picasso are thus confronted with contemporary works signed by David Hockney, Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, or Roy Lichtenstein. This important retrospective also focuses on the iconic works by Picasso, as Les Demoiselles d’Avignon and Guernica, and comes back to the different stylistic phases of the artist.
Exhibition “Picasso Mania” From October 7th to February 29th 2016.
Open Wednesday-Saturday from 10am to 10pm, Sunday and Monday from 10am to 8pm.
Full rate: €13.
