Last year, Paris successfully held its first edition of The Color Run™, the most colorful and wackiest run of all times. For this second edition, which is to be held on April 19th 2015, there is only one rule: to have a lot of fun! Thus, Color Runners are invited to run 5 kilometers without feeling any pressure, since the goal is neither to arrive first nor to be the fastest. The run starts at the Hôtel de Ville and ends at the Pont de Iéna, by the banks of the Seine. The run is entirely suitable for families and is free for children under 5!
How does it work?
It is simple, after registering you will receive a kit from the Color Run™ containing a white T-shirt, which is essential to attend the run, a numbered bib, a headband, and temporary tattoos. Each kilometer corresponds to a color, and the goal is to finish the run as colorful as possible. The colored powder, which will be launched on the participants, is certified 100% natural and made from cornstarch and food coloring. It is advised to wear sunglasses during the run for your personal comfort and to avoid receiving powder in your eyes, although it is neither dangerous nor painful.
A firm favorite: At the end of the Color Run™, organizers of the event will use leaf blowers to remove the dust and most of the powder you accumulated during the run. As a bonus, the Finisher Festival will close the event with live DJ sets.
