Dessance is a new place well worth a visit for everyone with a sweet tooth, since it is the first ever dessert bar in Paris. The concept is simple and inspired by New York’s dessert bars. Nothing salty on the menu : this gastronomic restaurant of sugary cuisine only serves desserts. The elegant decor, conceived by architect François Joseph, is simple and light, with warm wood tones. For the best possible tasting, follow this three-part menu : mise en bouche (sweet hors d’œuvre), individual dessert or carte blanche for 2, and mignardises (sweet petits fours) that are, so to speak, the icing on the cake. Two drink choices, one with alcohol, and one without, are suggested to enhance the menu. One of the house specialties is the smoked baked Alaska (omelette novégienne fumée) : vanilla ice-cream with lightly salted caramel, hiding in a delicious Italian meringue flambéed in Whisky, nestled on a chocolate biscuit. Dessance is definitely a sweet surprise !
Open Wednesday through Thursday from 2pm to 11pm, Friday and Saturday from midday to midnight and Sunday from midday to 11pm.
