Voted best baker in Paris in 2008 (meilleur boulanger de Paris), this young artisan has made a name for himself in the city of Paris, thanks to personalized and unique breads, baked traditionally with great technique and love. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, it is the result of the perfect baking of Du Pain et des Idées, and the recipe of its success. Indeed, thanks to word of mouth, this little business has many faithful clients, not only in the neighborhood, but also people who come daily from every corner of the capital city! The specialty? Le Pain des Amis (the bread of friends), a big rectangular loaf to share in good company.
A plethora of choices!
Du Pain et des Idées is not just about the traditional baguette that accompanies your meal, you will also find multiple sorts of stuffed breads you can enjoy at any time of the day. Not to mention all the pastries and rolls that you will just have to try for dessert or an afternoon snack. Try for instance the chausson aux pommes (apple turnover)… filled with real pieces of apple instead of the usual applesauce, just delicious! Or go for the unusual croissants with eau de rose (rose water) or Matcha tea, the snails and their many flavors, among which our favorite: lemon and Montélimar nougat!
Open Monday through Friday from 6:45am to 8pm.
