Walking around Parisian markets

If you like French gastronomy and fresh products, the Mareuil Hotel has found for you, of course, two key Parisian addresses where it’s so nice to shop for your groceries! Here’s a little tour.

Marché Richard-Lenoir
Located two steps away from la Bastille in the heart of the 11th district, the Marché Richard-Lenoir is one of the most lively of Paris, but also one of the tourists´ favorite for its authenticity. You’ll choose your products within the 115 vendors that you can find there, allowing you to provide yourself on local products at the market gardener, the poulterer, the butcher and the cheese merchant. Between two alleys, you can even do a little shopping of traditional objects made in India, China or Africa.

Marché d’Aligre
Popular, the Marché d´Aligre is also almost permanent, being open from Tuesday to Sunday. There we find the organic bakery Moisan, to taste a real good Parisian baguette, but also… a second hand market to hunt for vintage pieces! After patiently admiring the different stalls, head to the mythic wine bar, Le Baron Rouge, to treat yourself with a relaxing culinary break.

If you also have the soul of an epicurean, these two addresses are made for you!
